Print

Python is the best programming language to start learning programming. The most important thing is to understand software concepts.
The first concept is displaying output, or, in "engineering terms", print :D

How can we tell the computer "hey, I like pizza"? In Python we say:

print("hey, I like pizza")

By the way, you can run these pieces of code to see the result. We strongly encourage you to modify these codes and explore, to ask yourself questions like 'what happens if I change this, or that, or something else.' Always run the code and see what happens. Experimenting can sometimes be really fun :)

print() is a function (we'll learn in later lessons what a function really is). For now, we only need to know that print() is an instruction, our way of telling the computer: "display something"

An important thing to notice is the quotes:

print(hey, I like pizza)

will not work (we'll learn later why). Run it and see what happens

We can also do:

print("5")

which will display 5, or:

print("I have 2 dogs")

Again, don't forget the quotes.

Mission: Boot the Console

The station's control console boots up with a welcome banner. Write a program that uses print() to display exactly these four lines:

= CYBERSTARS MISSION CONTROL =
Station: Orion
Status: ONLINE
Welcome aboard, cadet!

Psst, don't forget the quotes :) Match the text exactly, line by line.
